En Route were proud sponsors once again of the Mini and Junior MasterChef competitions. Pupils from local schools competed in cooking heats with an emphasis on healthy eating. Mini MasterChef pupils created healthy lunches, and our Junior MasterChef’s designed an extensive 3 course meal.

The quality of the food created by the children was fantastic, with dishes from herb crusted salmon in a mussel stew to decadent chocolate brownies.

The annual competitions are organised by a local charity, Learning to Work, which creates high impact activities with local employers to inspire young people, educate them about opportunities and give them the skills they need to be successful.

Judges from our New Product Development team attended the final to judge the fantastic dishes and returned to the office speaking highly of the pupils. Comments from the judges emphasised the level of skill of the pupils as well as their dedication and teamwork!

A big well done to all the pupils that took part in the competitions, and a special mention to the winners.

Mini MasterChef – Royal First School
Junior MasterChef – St. Edward’s Middle School & Slough and Eton Business and Enterprise College.
